Dr. Nick Kalivoda (1922-2013)
Beloved husband, father, teacher, mentor, and friend, Dr. Nick Kalivoda departed from this life on March 10, 2013 at the age of 90. Nick dedicated his life to spreading the gospel (good news) about Jesus Christ that eternal life is available to anyone through God's grace; it is a gift. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23). "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9). He believed and taught that the Bible is the word of God for His believers and, as the Holy Spirit guided Paul in his 2nd Letter to Timothy, "You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." (2 Timothy 2:1-3).
